1. High School graduation or equivalent
2. Minimum 18 years of age or older 
3. English Language Proficiency, as required by the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry

2. Criminal record check from the applicant's country of origin.
3. A genuine concern for the well-being of others.
4. Patience and perseverance.
5. Flexibility, trustworthiness, and dependability.
6. High standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
7. Physical stamina.
8. No sensitivity or allergy to latex.
9. Ability to work in environments where standards of conduct may be different from one’s own
