The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Asian Area Studies focuses on the context and impact of Asian cultures and places less emphasis on language competency compared to the Asian language and culture program. You will participate in courses aimed to help you recognize the historical, social and cultural dimensions of Asian cultures and communities in North America and around the world. Throughout the program, you will learn how cultural contexts can shape thoughts and ideas and how they’ve impacted the world around them.
