The Business Management Diploma prepares you for positions of responsibility in the business community and for further educational opportunities by promoting conceptual and technical skill development in business. You can earn a general business management credential or to specialize in accounting.

1. High school graduation or equivalent
2. English 12 (B) or equivalent
    - Note: If you meet the English proficiency requirement using an IELTS score and have a writing band of 6.0 or less, you are required to complete NLC English 099 with at least a "B" grade in your first semester at NLC.
3. Pre-Calculus 11 (C) or equivalent

Academic Admission Requirement


1. If you do not meet the above admission requirements, you can gain program entry by successfully completing appropriate assessments and/or upgrading courses. For more details, please contact a NLC academic advisor. 
2. Aside from program entry/admission requirements, there are also specific course registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed within Northern Lights College’s course description. Course prerequisite(s) = Course(s) which must be completed prior to registering in a given course. Please make sure you meet the course prerequisites before registering individual courses. 
3. A financial calculator is required as well as a laptop that meets the minimum NLC program standards.
4. Northern Lights College courses are also recognized by professional associations such as the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of BC, the Canadian Bankers Institute, and others. "
