The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting allows you to gain the skills and business acumen to succeed in management-level roles in the private and public sector and prepare to earn your CPA designation. You'll also make employer connections and earn academic credit through co-op terms, international exchange and networking opportunities.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. If you are unsure about the level of Math preparation needed for success in business courses, it's a good idea to consult with an Educational Advisor at NIC.

2. If English is not your first language, you have the option of meeting the English language requirements by having ONE OF the following:
    - IELTS* (6.0 overall, with no band lower than 5.5)
    - TOEFL iBT* (80 overall, with no section below 19)
    - TOEFL computer-based (213 overall)
    - TOEFL paper-based (550 overall)
    - CAEL* (60 overall, with at least 60 in writing)
    - PET Academic* (54 overall, with no component less than 46)
    - Duolingo English Test (105 taken after January 2020; cannot re-test within 3 weeks between each testing)
    - or equivalent as determined by NIC Admissions Department 
        - Note(*): You are recommended to take ENG 104 during your first semester at NIC. You will be required to take ENG 104 in the first semester, if you do not have the minimum score in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking in one of the following assessment tests:
            - IELTS (6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking)
            - TOEFL iBT (20 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking)
            - PET (50 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) 
            - CAEL (60 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) 
3. Students with documented disability are encouraged to contact Assessible Learning Services for a wide range of services, supports and resources.

4. If you already have CPA-CGA or CPA-CMA designation, you may apply for advanced standing in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree. More details about Bridging Pathways can be found on the program website. 

Admission Advice

Applications may be submitted starting 11 months before the intended program start date. Early application is recommended. Applications are open on the first business day in October. Students are accepted on a first applied, first qualified basis.
