The Citation in Latin American Studies recognizes students who have completed a minimum of 15 credits of study with a focus on courses in Latin American studies and Spanish.

Latin American Studies at Langara College provides an interdisciplinary approach to learning about the geography, culture, history, and political economy of this diverse region.

Academic Admission Requirement

1\. To meet prerequisite requirements of the first-year English courses for this program, a placement test or completion of one or more additional English courses may be required.

2\. Check the prerequisites in the course descriptions required for your program. For the purposes of course registration and program completion, you will need to meet the prerequisites of individual courses in the program.

Admission Advice

Applications may be submitted starting 11 months before the intended program start date. Early application is recommended.		
		
The deadline to submit a complete application in order to be admitted for the fall, spring, or summer semesters is the first day of classes for that program-entry semester. A complete application includes a completed application form, application fee payment, and any supporting documents required. No applications will be accepted after the deadline date.
