The Hospitality Services Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma prepares you for leadership roles in the hospitality and service sectors. You’ll work on projects in the business community and participate in management simulation exercises that closely mirror the real world. You'll gain practical marketing and management skills, and learn about event management, revenue management and strategic planning. Additionally, you'll have the option to participate in the Business Internship and Career Boost programs.

1. Completion of a bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada or an equivalent credential from an approved institution in a different country
2. High school graduation or equivalent or

    - One course short of B.C. secondary school graduation
    - 19 years old by the end of the first month of the first semester of attendance
    - 17 years old on the first day of the first semester of attendance and has not been in school for at least one year
    - Completion of a certificate or equivalent from a special needs program and has been in school for 12 years, or has received an Evergreen or Leaving School Certificate

3. English 12 (C) or equivalent*

*Note: based on both the course grade and provincial literacy assessment"


1. If you earned your credential in a language other than English, you must meet the Douglas College English language proficiency requirement


Admissions to open-enrollment programs are offered on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Students are encouraged to apply early.

- September intake- applications typically open in early October of the previous year until late August / early September.
- January intake- applications typically open in early February of the previous year until late December / early January.
- May intake- applications typically open in early June of the previous year until late April / early May.
