1. High school graduation or equivalent or

    - One course short of BC secondary school graduation
    - 19 years old by the end of the first month of the first semester of attendance
    - 17 years old on the first day of the first semester of attendance and has not been in school for at least one year
    - Completion of a certificate or equivalent from a special needs program and has been in school for 12 years, or has received an Evergreen or Leaving School Certificate

2. English 12 (C) or equivalent

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Provide evidence of completion of at least 60 hours of supervised volunteer or paid work experience. You will be mailed a verification of volunteer/work experience form after you have applied to the program. Forms are to be completed by your direct supervisor. 
2. Two additional professional reference letters to the applicant's suitability to the program.
3. A current resume.
4. A letter of intent stating your reasons for choosing the program, long term and short term goals, and your related strengths and limitations. 
5. Interview may be required to determine suitability to the program.
6. Criminal record check (information will be provided by Enrolment Services).

1. Applicants who have completed 9 or more post-secondary credits must be in good academic standing (1.5 GPA) for admission to the program.

Admission Advice

Admissions to open-enrollment programs are offered on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Students are encouraged to apply early.

- September intake- applications typically open in early October of the previous year until late August / early September.
