You can become an education assistant with the Education Assistance and Inclusion Certificate. You’ll gain skills that encourage the well-being, development and education of people with disabilities.

1. High school graduation or equivalent or

    - One course short of BC secondary school graduation
    - 19 years old by the end of the first month of the first semester of attendance
    - 17 years old on the first day of the first semester of attendance and has not been in school for at least one year
    - Completion of a certificate or equivalent from a special needs program and has been in school for 12 years, or has received an Evergreen or Leaving School Certificate

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Two additional professional reference letters to the applicant's suitability to the program.
2. A current resume.
3. A letter of intent stating your reasons for choosing the program, long term and short term goals, and your related strengths and limitations. 
4. Interview may be required to determine suitability to the program.
5. Criminal record check (information will be provided by Enrolment Services).

Admissions to open-enrollment programs are offered on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Students are encouraged to apply early.

- September intake- applications typically open in early October of the previous year until late August / early September.
