The Education Assistant Diploma prepares you for career opportunities in the education system working alongside teachers supporting students with disabilities as Education Assistants, combining a range of courses that provide theoretical foundation and practical experiences. You'll study the areas of learning, development, communication, curriculum, behaviour, personal care, and teamwork.

1. To meet prerequisite requirements of the first-year English courses for this program, a placement test or completion of one or more additional English courses may be required.
2. Check the prerequisites in the course descriptions required for your program. For the purposes of course registration and program completion, you will need to meet the prerequisites of individual Arts and/or Science courses in the program. 

Admission Advice

Applications may be submitted starting 11 months before the intended program start date. Early application is recommended.		
		
The deadline to submit a complete application in order to be admitted for the fall, spring, or summer semesters is the first day of classes for that program-entry semester. A complete application includes a completed application form, application fee payment, and any supporting documents required. No applications will be accepted after the deadline date.
