 The Associate of Arts degree provides you complete two years of undergraduate arts at VCC, earning a solid foundation for upper-level university programs or a standalone credential.

1. High school graduation or equivalent
2. English (C+) or [equivalent](https://www.vcc.ca/applying/registration-services/english-language-proficiency-requirements/general-information/)
3. Students are required to have successfully completed prerequisite courses leading to courses in the Associate degree

1. This program is available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school.
2. Applicants who self-identify as Indigenous are strongly encouraged to connect with VCC’s Indigenous Education and Community Engagement team to learn more about VCC’s Indigenous Enrolment policy, application preparation/completion, program advising, and a range of other individualized services.
3. Applicants must submit official transcripts and other documents as required by their course or program. Specific post-secondary courses may be used to substitute for secondary school courses at the discretion of the appropriate departments.
4. If you miss prerequisites, please learn more about VCC's tuition-free academic upgrading or English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, or discover which university transfer options are right for you.

1. Students are strongly advised to check the admissions policies of their desired transfer institution, specifically to ensure that they meet any additional criteria for specific program areas, such as majors and minors. A minimum Associate of Arts degree GPA may be required.
