With the Transportation Trade Sampler short certificate, you can get an introduction to key elements of automotive service, automotive collision and refinishing, and heavy duty equipment before choosing an apprenticeship or career path.

1. Do not apply to VCC directly. If you're interested in this program, you, your teacher, or your counsellor can contact the Career Program Coordinator or Administrator for your school district. Look at SkilledTradesBC's Youth Explore Program for details. 
2. Safety books are required for this program. 



Academic Admission Requirement

1. This program is available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
2. Applicants who self-identify as Indigenous are strongly encourages to connect with VCC's Indigenous Education and Community Engagement team to learn more about VCC's Indigenous Enrolment policy and services.
3. If you are missing any prerequisites, VCC offers academic upgrading, English as a Second Language courses, and university transfer options. Applicants must submit official transcripts and educational documents as required by their course or program.
4. It is recommended:

    - Basic computer skills
    - Good general health and respiratory condition
    - Physical strength and stamina compatible with the handling of heavy parts and equipment as required by the program
    - Ability to tolerate noise and vibration
    - Possession of valid BC driver's license

Applications should be submitted as early as possible. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
