The Bachelor of Engineering Degree provides a variety of general engineering courses and declare a program specialization before entering your second year. Before finishing your degree, you'll complete a mandatory co-op placement to prepare for the workforce.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. All applicants to UVic (regardless of country of origin or citizenship status) are required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission. You can choose one of several ways to demonstrate language proficiency. You are not required to provide proof of language proficiency if you have studied full time for at least four years within Canada at the high school and/or post-secondary level, and all of your instruction has been in English.
2. Admission averages are calculated using all required Grade 12 courses for entry to a program. The actual admission average required for entry may be higher in the future due to increased competition and limited capacity.
3. Admission to the Bachelor of Engineering program is very competitive as enrolment is limited. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Proof of English language proficiency: typically one month after the application deadline. Your language-proficiency deadline will be indicated in your online application checklist after you submit your online application to UVic.
