This interdisciplinary Medieval and Renaissance Studies Certificate is devoted to the study of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, its history, culture, and thought. You may concentrate upon a specific period, topic, or figure, or upon the broader pre-modern period.

1. This Certificate Program is intended for students who wish to complete it at the same time as they pursue another program at SFU. You may add a certificate program to any major. 

2. Prospective students must apply to SFU for admissions and meet the specific program admission requirements prior to undertaking a Certificate program. Approval from the Department of Global Humanities advisor is required for entry to this program.

Admission Advice

- September intake: High school applicants: October to January
- Post-secondary/transfer applicants: October to February
- January intake: June to September
- May intake: October to January
