The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Practice provides sustainable and interdisciplinary approaches to environmental policy, management, community development and more. You'll take humanities-based courses in communication, environmental health and safety; environmental management; global isssues; policy, governance, and administration; community development, and more. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared for a career in addressing environmental challenges.

1. One of:
   * Completion of a 60 credits of arts or sciences courses at the post-secondary level, (B), from a recognized post-secondary institution
   * Completion of RRU's Certificate in Environmental Practice (B)\*

\*Note: The Certificate in Environmental Practice (CEP) is no longer offered at RRU, however graduates of CEP may be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions currently or previously attended
2. If you are applying under the flexible admission process, you will also need to provide:
   * Letter of reference
   * Two-to-three-page statement of intent addressing the following three points:
     * The reason for selecting the programs
     * How the program will support, develop, or enhance your sense of purpose or personal and professional goals
     * Why you believe that project-based learning is the best learning style for you
   * Detailed chronological resume including the following points:
     * Education
     * Work experience
     * Training and professional development
     * Voluntary/unpaid work experience
     * Information technology training and experience
     * Professional memberships/affiliations
     * Other relevant Information

1. If you don't meet the formal academic requirements for admission of third-year entry, your application may be considered based on a combination of your education, informal learning and the real world experience as per RRU's flexible admission policy. To be considered for flexible admission, you would need 60 credits at the post-secondary level (without the minimum GPA requirement) and at least 3 years of relevant work experience or combination of work experience and volunteer experience. You also need to show an ability to demonstrate the competencies expected of a graduate with 2 two-year diploma.
2. Applicants declaring permanent resident or Convention Refugee status in Canada, must submit a copy of their Permanent Resident Card (PR card) along with their application. 
3. Transcript evaluation fee or [**credential evaluation report**](https://www.royalroads.ca/admission/admission-requirements/international-credential-evaluation), if submitting international transcripts.
4. An official [**English language proficiency score**](https://www.royalroads.ca/admission/admission-requirements/english-language-requirements) report or other evidence of proficiency if English is not your primary language.
5. Other information or documents as may be requested to determine your eligibility.

Admission Advice

Applications are accepted and reviewed year round. Space may be limited, so applicants are advised to apply at least 6 months before the program start date.  Application deadline is approximately three months before the program start date. Once your full application is received, you will find out if you have been accepted in 4-8 weeks.
