The Accounting Post-Baccalaureate Diploma contains the 20 courses required as prerequisites to the CPA Professional Education program. You can expect classes to include elements of processing data, reporting, analysis, business law as well as management.

1. Completion of a bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent*

    Note(*): It is the student's responsibility to confirm that their bachelor degree satisfies the degree prerequisite of the CPA Professional Education Program.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Applicants must meet minimum Okanagan College admission requirements for Language and Math.

2. Applicants who have completed post-secondary studies outside of Canada will require a World Education Service evaluation (WES) with International Credential Advantage Package of their credentials.

3. The following courses may be eligible for exemptions if the equivalent course has been successfully completed within the past 10 years*: 

    - BUAD 111
    - BUAD 121 
    - BUAD 113 
    - BUAD 195 
    - BUAD 124 
    - BUAD 264 
    - BUAD 296

Note(*): Students can only be granted up to five course exemptions within this program and must take appropriate alternative business courses to ensure diploma completion.  

Admission Advice

Applications for the Fall semester will be open early October. Some programs have specific dates or deadlines by which applications must be received (Nursing, Dental and Business). You must submit your application by the date indicated to ensure that you are considered for the first round of admission offers. For applications received after that date, offers of admission will only be issued if space is available. For more details, see okanagan.bc.ca/apply.
