Academic Admission Requirement

**Domestic Applicants**
1. 2. If you are missing any prerequisites, VCC offers academic upgrading, English as a Second Language courses, and university transfer options.
3. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school. ((Some exceptions may apply.)
4. Applicants must [submit official transcripts and other documents](https://www.vcc.ca/applying/registration-services/admissions-and-registration/applying-to-vcc/how-to-submit-transcripts/) as required by their course or program. Seats are offered to eligible applicants with completed applications, in order of application completion date (except for programs with competitive admissions). A complete application includes an application form, evidence of educational pre-requisites (e.g. transcripts), any required supporting documents (e.g. language proficiency, audition video), and the required deposit or fee payment. If you do not meet the requirements for the term applied, your application may be cancelled.

**International Applicants**

1. Seats are offered to applicants who have met all admission requirements, on a first-qualified, first-served basis.
2. International applicants must be 17 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school. (Some exceptions may apply.)
3. Applicants must submit official transcripts and educational documents as required by their course or program.
4. All VCC applicants are required to function successfully in an English-speaking classroom. English requirements vary by program. For details, visit VCC International - English Requirements.   

**All Applicants**

   * Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills
   * An interest in the field of business and commerce
   * Good basic computer literacy
   * A strong sense of ethics, integrity and accountability
   * Excellent organizational skills
   * Ability to work well with others in a diverse team environment
