The Crimionology Diploma prepares you for entry-level employment positions and for continued studies in academic and professional programs. Relevant areas of work and additional education include Corrections, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Forensic Studies, and Law Enforcement.

1. English 12 (B) or equivalent
    - Note: If you meet the English proficiency requirement using an IELTS score and have a writing band of 6.0 or less, you are required to complete NLC English 099 with at least a "B" grade in your first semester at NLC.

2. Pre-calculus 11 (C) or equivalent

Academic Admission Requirement


1. Aside from program entry/admission requirements, there are also specific course registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed within Northern Lights College’s course description. Course prerequisite(s) = Course(s) which must be completed prior to registering in a given course. Please make sure you meet the course prerequisites before registering individual courses.

2. If you are missing any prerequisites for admission and/or course registration, you can have the options of completing appropriate assessments and/or upgrading courses. Feedback on the Assessments will be provided to help you make informed decisions about appropriate selection of upgrading courses. For more details, please contact an academic advisor at NLC.

3. Transfer agreements allow graduates to receive:
    - Block transfer credit into the third year of Justice Institute of British Columbia’s Bachelor of Law Enforcement Studies program.  Note a minimum grade of C is required in all courses.
    - Block transfer credit into the third year of Royal Roads University’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Justice Studies program.
    - Course-by-course transfer into Simon Fraser University’s Bachelor of Arts in Criminology program.
