The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program – in partnership with the School of Business – offers the Business Administration Pathway for domestic and international students. The Pathway allows you to begin getting credit for a business credential while you improve your English. Upon successful completion of the two-semester Pathway Program, students earn 15 credits towards their business credential.

1. High school graduation
2. English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 (2.0 or 60%)
3. Principles of Math 11 (C)

Academic Admission Requirement

1. English is the language of instruction at CapU. All applicants are required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission. If English is not your first language or you’ve received your education in a language other than English, you must produce evidence of your English Language Proficiency:

    - Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): paper=520, internet=67, or
    - International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS)=5.5 overall, and no one score less than 5.0, or
    - Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=50, or
    - Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=50, or
    - Capilano University EAP 080 with a minimum B grade, or
    - Articulated level completion from approved [Pathway Partner](https://www.capilanou.ca/programs--courses/capu-for-you/international-students/future-international-students/english-language-pathway-partner-schools/).

2. Current Grade 12 students can be conditionally accepted based on final Grade 11 grades or interim Grade 12 grades. Students can upload proof of grades (e.g. unofficial transcripts, copies of report cards) through [EducationPlannerBC](https://apply.educationplannerbc.ca/apply/complete-application/capilanou) when applying to Capilano University. Final acceptance will be based on high school graduation and having met the program specific requirements.
3. Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the [BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services](https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/k-12/support/transcripts-and-certificates) (STS) as soon as possible.
