Overview
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology program offers several two-year diploma options that provide a strong foundation in automation, instrumentation, power systems, and telecommunications. You'll gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through hands-on lab work, industry-relevant training, and opportunities to take part in paid co-operative education terms. The Automation and Instrumentation stream focuses on measurement and control systems used in industrial equipment, while the Power and Industrial Control option covers areas such as renewable energy, electric machines, system protection, and PLC programming. The Telecommunications and Networks option emphasizes the design and testing of modern communication systems including fibre optics, satellite technologies, and wireless networks. Graduates may pursue advanced studies, obtain dual diplomas, or transition into industry roles across a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors.
