Global Engagement will support you to gain the experiential component of the Global Competency Certificate. Douglas College offers exchanges, summer programs, international work integrated learning, faculty-led programs including field schools and virtual opportunities that are eligible to participate in for this certificate.

1. High school graduation or equivalent or

    - One course short of B.C. secondary school graduation
    - 19 years old by the end of the first month of the first semester of attendance
    - 17 years old on the first day of the first semester of attendance and has not been in school for at least one year
    - Completion of a certificate or equivalent from a special needs program and has been in school for 12 years, or has received an Evergreen or Leaving School Certificate

Admissions to open-enrollment programs are offered on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Students are encouraged to apply early.

- September intake- applications typically open in early October of the previous year until late August / early September.
- January intake- applications typically open in early February of the previous year until late December / early January.
- May intake- applications typically open in early June of the previous year until late April / early May.
