The Pre-Medicine Certificate is to prepare you for continued studies in professional programs, including Medicine, Veterinary Science, Dentistry, Optometry, and Chiropractic at university or university-college transferring institutions. The Program prepares you for continued Bachelor level studies at universities or other receiving institutions, continued studies in specific programs at NLC, continued studies in professional programs, or entry-level employment opportunities.

1. High school graduation or equivalent
2. English 12 (B) or equivalent
    - Note: If you meet the English proficiency requirement using an IELTS score and have a writing band of 6.0 or less, you are required to complete NLC English 099 with at least a "B" grade in your first semester at NLC.
3. Pre-calculus 12 (C+) or equivalent



Academic Admission Requirement

1. Aside from program entry/admission requirements, there are also specific course registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed within Northern Lights College’s course description. Course prerequisite(s) = Course(s) which must be completed prior to registering in a given course. Please make sure you meet the course prerequisites before registering individual courses.

2. If you are missing any prerequisites for admission and/or course registration, you can gain program entry by successfully completing the appropriate assessments and/or upgrading courses. Feedback on the Assessments will be provided to help you make informed decisions about appropriate selection of upgrading courses. For more details, please contact an academic advisor at NLC.

3. The Pre-Medicine Certificate Program can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis.
