The Business Management Certificate prepares you for positions of responsibility in the business community and for further educational opportunities by promoting conceptual and technical skill development in business.

1. High school graduation or equivalent
2. English 12 (B) or equivalent
    - Note: If you meet the English proficiency requirement using an IELTS score and have a writing band of 6.0 or less, you are required to complete NLC English 099 with at least a "B" grade in your first semester at NLC.
3. Math 11 (C) or equivalent


Academic Admission Requirement

1. If you do not meet the above admission requirements, you can gain program entry by successfully completing appropriate assessments and/or upgrading courses. For more details, please contact a NLC academic advisor.

2. Aside from program entry/admission requirements, there are also specific course registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed within Northern Lights College’s course description. Course prerequisite(s) = Course(s) which must be completed prior to registering in a given course. Please make sure you meet the course prerequisites before registering individual courses. 

3. Graduates from NLC's Applied Business Technology (Administrative Assistant) program will receive credit for several courses depending on their course selection. Visit NLC's Business Management Certificate webpage for more information.

4. Students are required to have a computer with the minimum NLC computer requirements. 

5. NLC courses may transfer to professional associations such as the Certified General Accountants, Certified Management Accountants, Chartered Accountants, Aboriginal Financial Officers Association, Canadian Bankers Institute, and others. Students are responsible for confirming transferability of course credits to any external organization. "
