The Wildfire Fighter Training Program Micro-credential prepares individuals for employment in the forestry industry as wildfire fighters, fire suppression workers and wildfire interface workers (fuel management).

1. Be able to lift 50 lbs and walk five km
2. Have access to transportation to attend off-campus field trips
3. Have personal protective equipment

Applications may be submitted up to 12 months before the program start date, in September. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Early application is recommended.

International students are advised to apply well in advance to allow for appropriate time for Study Permit processing.
