Overview

The Shellfish Aquaculture Technician Certificate provides an understanding of in-demand skills to support aquatic food production for marine, freshwater and land-based systems. Core themes of technical aspects of production, hatchery and juvenile rearing, culture in on-growing systems, biosecurity, post-harvest processing, and marketing, will allow students to gain hands-on knowledge of the aquaculture farm setting. Students will combine 460 hours of instruction and hands-on training with 85 hours of industry certifications over four months.
