The Associate of Science Degree provides students with the ability to meet prerequisites in many different fields including, medical, optometry, dentistry and veterinary programs across Canada. Students can complete an associate degree which offers transfer credit toward any B.C. university.

1. There are no formal requirements for program admission. However, courses have specific registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed under each NIC course description. Prerequisite(s) = course(s) which must be completed prior to course registration. For course registration and program completion purposes, you need to meet the prerequisites prior to register individual courses in the Program. 

2. You are encouraged to meet with an Educational Advisor at NIC for help with course planning and determine the prerequisites which you need to meet the program requirements. 

3. NIC offers upgrading courses if you need help meeting prerequisites for registration into individual courses.

Admission Advice

Applications may be submitted starting 11 months before the intended program start date. Early application is recommended. Applications are open on the first business day in October. Students are accepted on a first applied, first qualified basis. Early application is encouraged.
