The Sustainable Business Leadership (SBL) Advanced Diploma focuses on the current issues in sustainability and participate in a business consulting project for practical experience. By adding this advanced diploma to your pre-existing education and/or industry experience, you’ll prepare to become a leader in any number of industries to champion the responsible use of our resources.

1. English Studies 12 (67%) or equivalent

Entry options: one of the following:
Option 1: Standard Entry
a) Post-secondary education: a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in any discipline from BCIT or other recognized institution.

Note: Applicants enrolled in the final term of their degree/diploma must be on track to complete before the program start date. To apply, submit the following documents from your post-secondary institution:
    - Transcript of completed courses
    - Confirmation of enrolment letter verifying your current course enrolment and registration in the final term of your degree/diploma

Note: Applicants who have completed post-secondary studies outside of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand will require a basic evaluation of their credentials by the International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES). Credential evaluation reports from other Canadian services may be considered.

Option 2: Alternate Entry
If you do not have the required post-secondary education, but have five or more years of professional business experience, you may qualify for alternate entry. Alternate entry applicants complete a questionnaire to have their education, experience, and interest assessed by the department.

Please email a completed Pre-entry Assessment form to sbl@bcit.ca for review. You may be requested to send additional documents or meet with the Program Head. Once your pre-entry assessment has been approved (i.e. signed by the Program Head), you can upload it and submit your online application.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. This program is available to international applicants. A valid study permit is required prior to starting the program.

2. Students enrolled in this program must complete the mandatory work component to qualify for graduation. A co-op work permit is required prior to starting the work component.
