The Electrical and Computer Engineering Bridge to the University of Victoria (UVic) Advanced Diploma is offered by Camosun College with co-operation of UVic. Students with an approved diploma in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, can take this program to upgrade their mathematics, sciences, and related engineering knowledge in preparation for entering the third year of Engineering at UVic. The Electrical and Computer Engineering Bridge to UVic program is offered in the Winter and Fall semesters for entry into the third year of Engineering at UVic in January. An Internship work term is optional for this program.

1. One of:
- Diploma in Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology (B CGPA) completed within the last 5 years; no individual course below 'C'
- Diploma in Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology (B CGPA) completed more than 5 years ago; no individual course below 'C'; and a letter of intent outlining your work experience and/or professional development since diploma-completion
diploma from another closely related discipline (B CGPA) completed within the last 5 years; no individual course below 'C'; and an approval by the Engineering Bridge Coordinator

Note: Diploma programs must be recognized by the Canadian Engineering Technologies to be accepted for admission.

2. Official transcripts* (final and/or in-progress) from all secondary or post-secondary institutions attended

Notes:
- Regardless of relevance to Engineering studies, all post-secondary transcripts must be submitted
- “In progress” transcripts may be accepted if students are currently enrolled in the final courses of their diploma program.  The courses must be completed prior to acceptance for admission
Camosun College diploma graduates are not required to submit Camosun College transcripts.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Students with an approved diploma in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, can take this one-year program (Electrical & Computer Engineering Bridge to UVic) to upgrade your mathematics, sciences, and related engineering knowledge in preparation for entering the third year of Engineering at the UVic."

2. Admission selection process involves the following stages:
1. GPA is calculated using all courses taken toward completion of a student’s Technology diploma, including all course repeats
2. A joint meeting between UVic and Camosun College to rank the applicants based on the GPA achieved to determine which applicants will be offered admission to the bridge program.
