Overview
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Sciences explores the science of the solid earth, including its composition, structure, physical properties, and history. You'll learn about location, identification, classification and extraction of various earth materials and structures; application of the geologic time scale to indicate the order that events on Earth have taken place in; surveying and sampling techniques; field mapping, and more. Many graduates find work in the geo-environmental sector (especially within hydrogeology) or continue on to advanced studies at the graduate level and research careers in industry and academia.
