The Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degree explores many courses including metabolic pathways, the chemistry of winemaking, pharmacology, and more. You can specialize in biochemistry or the more medical aspects of cell and molecular biology. A strong lab component and opportunities to participate in co-op programs provide beneficial skills necessary for this field of study.

Students must be admitted into Bachelor of Science to pursue this program. 

1. High school graduation or equivalent

2. Minimum 6 academic/non-academic Grade 12 courses (recommended)

3. English 12 or equivalent

4. Pre-Calculus 12 or equivalent (67%)

5. One of:
    - Anatomy and Physiology 12 
    - Chemistry 12 
    - Environmental Science 12
    - Geology 12 
    - Physics 12 
    - Equivalent

6. Chemistry 11

7. Grades presented in all relevant academic Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses that fall under these subject categories* will be looked at:
    - Language Arts
    - Mathematics & Computation
    - Sciences 
        - *Note: There is no minimum number of courses required for admission, but you are encouraged to challenge yourself with a substantial number of courses that are relevant to your intended area of study.

1. Students can pursue a Major, Minor or Honours within the Bachelor of Science degree. While coursework usually starts in the first year, you are encouraged to declare your Major at the end of your first-year undergraduate study in order to take the prerequisite second-year courses.
