The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science is designed to provide you with skills in writing, communications, critical thinking, research, problem solving, and more. You'll learn foundational skills in political science history and theory, statistical analysis, and research methodology. Later, you'll investigate relevant special topics and issues such as international relations, human rights, and public policy. Upon graduation, you may work with political parties, government organizations, journalism, law, policy, public administration, and more.

Option A. For students with high school graduation only
 
1. High school graduation or equivalent
 
2. English 12 (C+) or equivalent or Degree/Diploma Level English Language proficiency
 
3. Two additional Approved Grade 12 courses (B average)

Or
 
Option B: For students who have some post-secondary education
 
1. English 12 (C+) or equivalent or Degree/Diploma Level English Language proficiency
 
2. One of:
 
    - Minimum 30 credits at the post-secondary level (C or 2.0 CGPA) on all credits attempted
    - Minimum 9 credits at the post-secondary level, transferable to a degree program (B or 3.0 GPA) on all credits attempted
    - Completion of a career or technical diploma (minimum two years of post-secondary credits) (C+, B- or 2.5 CGPA) on all courses taken
    - Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution (C or 2.0 GPA)

Academic Admission Requirement

1. If you have attended or are currently attending a post-secondary institution, it's also possible to be considered for admission based on the high school requirements (Option A) if you have both:
 
    - Completion of fewer than 30 credits of undergraduate study
    - All post-secondary courses attempted (C+ or 2.0 GPA)
 
2. If you do not meet the academic requirements for program entry, you may have the option of applying to Qualifying Studies.

Once applications are complete (all required documents have been received), an application date is recorded. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
