The Engineering Transfer Program is the first year of an Engineering degree at UFV, covering topics such as linear algebra, structured programming, and mechanics. You then may complete your degree at UBC, UVic, or at another university. Once transferred, you join other second-year students in competition for entry into the engineering specialties, such as Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical.

1. High school graduation or equivalent 
 
2. English 12 (C+) or equivalent

    - Degree/Diploma Level English Language proficiency
 
3. Pre-calculus 12 (B) or equivalent 
 
4. Chemistry 12 or equivalent
 
5. Physics 11 or equivalent (Physics 12 is also recommended)

Academic Admission Requirement

Additional Academic Admission Requirement

1. Entry to this program is on competitive based on the average of Chemistry 12, Physics 12, and Pre-Calculus 12. If these courses are not completed at the time of application, then the grades for the corresponding Grade 11 courses will be substituted. In all cases, if both the Grade 11 and 12 courses have been completed, then the better of the two grades will be used to calculate the GPA for admission. 
 
2. It's recommended that you have at least a B average to be successful in the admission process and in the program.
 
3. You must provide an email address and be expected to check your email regularly (usually starting in February). You must respond to information sent to you in order to keep your application active.

Admission Advice

Applications are accepted for entrance to the Fall semester only. Applications can be submitted after October 1 for entering the following September. You are recommended to submit your application before January 31 for programs which start the following September.
