When you embark on a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Technical Apparel Design, you'll join an industry that pushes the limits of human potential. From giving elite athletes a competitive edge to saving the lives of outdoor enthusiasts, this booming industry blends creativity with cutting-edge technology to allow humans to move faster, survive longer and explore further. This diploma is designed for people that already have an undergraduate degree and places you at the centre of BC's world-renowned technical apparel industry. Our curriculum was developed in collaboration with Vancouver-based companies like Arc'teryx, lululemon, Mountain Equipment Co-Op, Mustang Survival and Sugoi, as well as top academics and researchers.

Academic Admission Requirement

1. A letter of interest package including:
    - A self-assessment using one of the following formats:
        - A 800-1000 word narrative statement; or
        - 3-5 minute YouTube video; or
        - PowerPoint/Prezi presentation
    - A resume
    - Two letters of recommendation

2. Interview (selected candidates)

Additional Academic Admission Requirement

1. There are two parts to the application. Once you submit an online application to KPU, you will receive detailed instructions on how to submit your letter of interest package through an online submission platform. Please be aware there may be a supplemental fee required to submit your portfolio.

3. Your self-assessment should summarize your background and experience, what draws you to the program, your existing knowledge of technical apparel, what you hope to gain from the program, and how your prior experience can contribute to the program and your fellow classmates. 5. If you are unable to satisfy the English proficiency requirement to enter the undergraduate program at KPU, you may be able to begin your studies through the Faculty’s pathway program. It may give you the option of taking English proficiency upgrading courses, while simultaneously taking a limited number of undergraduate courses at KPU before becoming eligible for admission to undergraduate studies.
