Overview

This unique program prepares internationally educated nurses (IENs) for professional nursing practice in Canada. This program is designed for IENs who demonstrate fundamental knowledge-based nursing practice and are required by The British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) to renew and enhance nursing knowledge and skills, in preparation for nursing practice and licensure in Canada. This program is designed to prepare IENs to practice within the Canadian health care setting, renew and enhance previously acquired knowledge and skills, identify and address individual needs, ensure graduates meet the professional practice requirements, and enable effective communication skills with patients and colleagues. Clinical placements take place at any of the Lower Mainland hospitals between North Vancouver and Chilliwack. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from clinical experiences.
