The transfer credit evaluation process involves a form, a fee, and sealed, official transcripts.

Admission requirements vary by program but, at a minimum, most CapU programs require successful completion of:

One of:

- B.C. secondary school (Grade 12) or equivalent
- BC Adult Dogwood Graduation Diploma
- General Education Diploma

- At least 60% grade point average calculated on:
- English Studies 12, or English 12, or English First Peoples 12; and

- Once you are admitted and for program completion purpose, you may need to pass the [English Diagnostic Test](https://www.capilanou.ca/student-services/academic-services/learning-support/skills-assessment-tests/english-diagnostic-test-edt/?utm_source=student-life/academic-support/learning-resources/english-diagnostic-test&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=Redirect) if you are taking English 100, and/or the [Math Placement Test](https://www.capilanou.ca/student-services/academic-services/learning-support/skills-assessment-tests/math-placement-test-mpt/?utm_source=student-life/academic-support/learning-resources/math-placement-test-mpt&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=Redirect) to gain admission to certain entry-level Math courses.

If you do not meet the academic requirements for program entry, you have the option of taking academic upgrading courses in order to upgrade your qualifications for future admissions.

High school students with superior academic records may apply for limited admission which will allow enrollment in one or two university-level Arts and Sciences courses while still attending secondary school.

The [Concurrent Studies Consent Form (pdf)](https://www.capilanou.ca/media/capilanouca/admissions/apply-to-capu/admission-requirements/Concurrent-Studies-Consent-Form.pdf) must be co-signed by your parent or legal guardian, with supporting comments provided by your high school principal (or their designate). The completed form must be accompanied by an official copy of your high school academic record. Inquiries should be directed to the Capilano University's Registrar's Office.
