The Trauma and Crisis Intervention (TCIN) Associate Certificate focuses on how to effectively manage traumatic events and the emotional health and safety for those involved.

Our innovative approach integrates various theories, modalities and practices for crisis intervention including one-on-one defusing, psychological first aid, group debriefing, vicarious trauma prevention planning and Critical Incident Stress Management. The program highlights the importance of inclusive, responsive and trauma-informed approaches to supporting diverse populations in crisis, and self-care for one’s own emotional well-being. The program will provide you with the knowledge and skills to offer emotional support to those who have experienced a traumatic event as well as yourself and your colleagues. You’ll also gain the practical core skills to guide people through crisis states.
