The Fire Prevention Officer Certificate is designed for self-paced adult learners who want to pursue fire prevention training and it is primarily open to students who are employed by a fire department, law enforcement agency, insurance or investigation company. This program meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards for fire prevention inspectors, investigators and public fire educators. Most courses in this program are accredited by IFSAC and ProBoard®, and are designed to meet the competencies and training established by the National Fire Protection Association for fire prevention inspectors, investigators and public fire education. Completion of this program ladders into the Fire & Safety Studies Diploma.
