This instructional program class comprises any program that prepares individuals to manage and coordinate all logistical functions in an enterprise, ranging from acquisitions to receiving and handling, through internal allocation of resources to operations units, to the handling and delivery of output. These programs include courses in acquisitions and purchasing, inventory control, storage and handling, just-in-time manufacturing, logistics planning, shipping and delivery management, transportation, quality control, resource estimation and allocation, and budgeting.

Supply Chain Management Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas

Supervisors of supply chain, tracking and scheduling coordination occupations supervise the activities of workers in unit group 13201 Production and transportation logistics coordinators and in sub-major group 144: Supply chain logistics, tracking and scheduling coordination occupations. They are employed throughout the public and private sectors.

Production logistics coordinators coordinate and expedite the flow of work within an establishment, prepare work and production schedules and monitor the progress of production and construction projects. Transportation logistics coordinators coordinate and monitor the movement of products and ensure that products are shipped and received on schedule. They are employed by manufacturing and construction companies and other industrial establishments.

Supervisors in motor vehicle assembling supervise and coordinate the activities of workers in motor vehicle production departments. They are employed in plants which manufacture automobiles, vans and light trucks.

To receive the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, you must be registered with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) in good standing. Eligibility is achieved through completion of the required coursework, relevant exams, and the Job Ready Program offered by the HRPA.

To work in human resources in B.C., you may choose to pursue the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation. Eligibility is achieved by completing requisite education requirements or passing the National Knowledge Exam, and by proving sufficient work experience.

Co-op programs are available, and you'll graduate ready to take the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation exam and the Certified in Planning and Inventory Management exam.

Advanced Supply Chain Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma

The International Supply Chain Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma will teach you how global supply chains are set up; how to work with international suppliers; how to maintain optimum efficiency in the production, inventory control and delivery of goods in the international marketplace; marketing; international business management and more. Once you are a student in the International Supply Chain Management program, you will automatically be enrolled in the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) Diploma program, a not-for-profit organization offering international business resources, training programs and certifications for global trade professionals. Once you graduate, you’ll receive an industry recognized FITT Diploma in International Trade upon completion of all requirements. You can also take part in an optional Co-operative Education Program or the Business Internship Program.

International Supply Chain Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma

The Supply Chain Management Post-Degree Diploma is designed for students who have a bachelors’ degree and are interested in pursuing a career in a supply chain role (purchasing/procurement, warehousing, transportation, production/quality and/or inventory planning). The program is designed to suit all bachelors’ degree holders regardless of concentration, and will provide internationally relevant skills. The program provides students with industry relevant job skills and preparatory knowledge to attain an industry certification in Planning and Inventory Management from the Association for Supply Chain Management.

Supply Chain Management Post-Degree Diploma

The Operations and Supply Chain Management Specialist (OSCM) program is designed for students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree with industry experience, or have a technical or science diploma with significant relevant industry experience. The OSCM program will allow students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills, communication skills, effective project management abilities, teamwork and interpersonal skills. 

You will attain a solid understanding of how to interpret and synthesize core business, financial and performance data to make informed decisions. The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Operations and Supply Chain Management is offered with a Co-operative Education option for full-time students entering the program in the Fall term. This option requires an additional 10 credits of Co-operative Education courses. 

This is a two-year program, though students can choose to complete the program in an accelerated form.

Operations & Supply Chain Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma

The Supply Chain Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma will be of interest to students who have a non-business degree and want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a Post-baccalaureate diploma as well.
