To work as a corporate sales manager in B.C., you may choose to earn the Certified Sales Associate (CSA) designation. Eligibility is achieved through attaining a Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) Institute Sales Certificate, or 35 hours of accredited pre-requisite education in sales aligned with the Sales Professional Competency Framework. You must also have a minimum of 6 months of verified sales experience in client-facing roles.

Employment as a corporate sales manager usually requires several years of related work experience.

To work as a corporate sales manager in B.C., you may choose to earn the Certified Sales Leader designation. Eligibility is achieved through the completion of a university degree, 35 hours of pre-requisite education aligned with the Sales Leader Competency Framework, and 6 years of cumulative work experience. 

Employment as a corporate sales manager usually requires several years of related work experience.

To work as a corporate sales manager in B.C., you may choose to earn the Certified Sales Professional (CSP®) designation. Eligibility is achieved after you have a college diploma and accumulated 35 hours of accredited pre-requisite education in sales aligned to the Sales Professional Competency Framework, a minimum of 4 years of verified experience independently managing client accounts, and evidence of meeting/exceeding targets for at least 2 of those years.

Corporate sales managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of establishments and departments involved in commercial, industrial, institutional, e-business and wholesale and retail sales. They are employed by commercial, industrial and wholesale and retail trade establishments.

Retail and wholesale trade managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of establishments that sell merchandise or services on a retail or wholesale basis. They are employed by retail and wholesale sales establishments or they may own and operate their own store.

Technical sales specialists in wholesale trade, sell a range of technical goods and services, such as scientific, agricultural and industrial products, electricity, telecommunications services and computer services, to governments and to commercial and industrial establishments in domestic and international localities. They are employed by establishments that produce or provide technical goods and services, such as pharmaceutical companies, industrial equipment manufacturing companies, grain elevators, computer services firms, engineering firms and hydroelectric companies, or they may be self-employed technical sales specialists/agents who contract their services to other companies. Technical sales specialists in wholesale trade who are supervisors are included in this unit group.

To receive the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, you must be registered with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) in good standing. Eligibility is achieved through completion of the required coursework, relevant exams, and the Job Ready Program offered by the HRPA.
