The Engineering Certificate immerses you in extensive laboratory time, experiential learning opportunities, various group projects, and community-based learning. When suitable, projects are done in collaboration with community organizations and companies.

1. High school graduation or equivalent

2. English 12 (C) or equivalent

2. Pre-Calculus 12 (C+) or equivalent 

3. Physics 12 (C+) or equivalent  

4. Chemistry 12 (C+) or equivalent  
    - Note: Calculus 12 and Programming 12 are recommended if these courses are available at your school.


Academic Admission Requirement


1. It is recommended that you:
    - have a good imagination and look forward to using it together with knowledge to improve the world we live in.
    - are curious about the way things work and are excited about helping to discover new knowledge.
    - are interested in mathematics and sciences. 
    - are concerned with the environmental impact of human beings and want to find sustainable solutions for a healthy environment.

Additional Academic Admission Requirement



1. English proficiency is required for all students entering CMTN programs.  Please visit the English Language Alternatives page to see other approved equivalent of English Studies 12. 

2. If you are missing Physics 12 and/or Chemistry 12 or equivalent, you are still encouraged to apply as your application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

3. If you do not have the prerequisites for the courses you wish to take, you have the option of taking upgrading courses along with selected university credit courses. 

4. If you are unsure of the courses needed for program entry and/or for course registration, contact a CMTN Educational Advisor. Advisors are available to help you access and navigate the courses/programs of interest to you.
