Get the first-year knowledge you need for all engineering disciplines, while developing hands-on practical skills for Foundation and Level 2 electrical instrumentation apprenticeship. Graduates can pursue second-year engineering at the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Technology Leadership or a Bachelor of Technology.

1. One of:

-High school graduation or equivalent
-Minimum 19 years of age

2. English 12 (73% or B) or equivalent

3. Pre-calculus 12 (73% or B) or equivalent

4. Physics 12 (73% or B) or equivalent

Academic Admission Requirement

1. Students in the program are required to have a strong background in physics and math. If your Math and Physics prerequisites are more than five years old or if your Physics and Math skills are weak, you should consider "refresher" courses in these subjects before applying to the program.

2. If you do not meet the academic requirements for admission, you have the option of taking upgrading courses at TRU to help you meet the academic admission requirements. You are encouraged to contact TRU's student recruiter about your options. 

Admission Advice

TRU begins accepting applications in October. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Early application is strongly recommended.
