For entry into University Programs - You must have completed at least 24 transferable university credits to be eligible for admission as a Transfer Student.
Students enrolled in a university program may receive transfer credit for up to 50 percent of their program. Credit is assigned based on an official transcript, and where requested, by course outlines and other supporting documentation.
The Admission Office assesses transfer credit for courses taken in an academic program at other institutions. Credit may be granted for specific VIU courses, or where direct course-by-course equivalencies cannot be determined, 'unassigned credit' may be granted.
