Academic (minimum grade in bracket)

1. High school graduation or equivalent 

2. VCC English Language Proficiency Requirement

One of:

3. OACP 1108: Medical Terminology 1 or equivalent (within the last 5 years)

4. MSKL 1104: Interpersonal Communication Skills – Health or equivalent

Admission Advice

1. After acceptance you must:

  • submit a successful Criminal Record Check
  • provide proof of a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • hold a valid CPR C certificate
  • complete updated immunizations
2. It's recommended that you:
  • are able to lift at least 25 lbs, stand for a long period of time, and perform repetitive movements
  • have no allergies to substances on the skin

General Admission Requirements (All Students)

English Language Requirement - Applicants must have proficiency in English at a level suitable for their desired program.

BC Secondary School (or equivalent)

You must meet the admission requirements of your intended program before your name is added to a waitlist or registered in a program.

You must meet the admission requirements of your intended program before your name is added to a waitlist or registered in a program.

BC Transfer Student

If you have prior post-secondary education that you want to transfer to VCC you must make a formal request through the Registrar's Office by completing an Approval for Transfer Credit form and attaching all required documents. For more information call 604.443.8411.

Mature Student

You must be at least 18 years old (unless you have graduated from Secondary School) to meet the general admission requirement for VCC. In addition, specific program admission requirements must also be met.
