English Language Requirements

Summary
If English is not your first language, you must meet one of the following (minimum score):

  • Completed five consecutive years of education in English immediately before admission
  • A 70% grade in English 12 or equivalent in the BC secondary system
  • A 75% (B) grade in a university transferable English course
  • A 2.00 (C ) grade in the UNBC English Language Studies 50 Component 1 and 2.
  • An internet based TOEFL score of 88 with a 20 in the Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking components
  • An IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than a 6.0 in any of the four modules
  • A LPI score of 5
  • Comparable results to the TOEFL or IELTS requirements in any other recognized English Language Assessment
