This program is an option of Business Administration: Bachelor Degree (BBA).

1) Program Admission Requirements

A. For entry into Year One:

Academic (minimum grade needed in bracket)

1. One of:

  • high school graduation (or equivalent)
  • mature student status (be at least 19 years old and out of high school for at least one year)

2. Math

A. Students graduating from secondary school in or before 2012:

One of:

  • Applications of Math 12 (85%)
  • Principles of Math 12 (60%)
  • equivalent ABE Math course (60%)

B. Students entering Grade 10 in or after 2010 and/or completing the new Math curriculum:

One of:

  • Pre-calculus 12 (60%)
  • Foundations of Mathematics 12 (60%)
  • Apprenticeship and Workplace Math 12 (60%)
  • equivalent ABE Math course (60%)

3. English

One of:

Admission Advice

Admission is competitive. Selection is based on overall average in English 12, Math 11 and two other provincially recognized Grade 12 courses (chosen to your advantage).

B. For entry into Year Three:

Academic (minimum grade needed in bracket)

1. One of:

  • Business Administration Diploma (67% grade average)
  • 60 university-level credits, including at least 24 credits at the 200-level or higher (67% grade average)
  • Associate of Arts or Science degree (67% grade average)


  • statement (500 words maximum) outlining your personal objectives and career goals
  • statement (500 words maximum) outlining your work experience and community involvement

2) Institution Admission Requirements

Applicants also have to satisfy OC's institution admission requirements as listed below.

English Language Requirements


If English is not your first language, you must submit one of the following (minimum scores):

  • A TOEFL score of 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), or 79 (internet based)
  • An academic IELTS overall band score of 6.5
  • A Okanagan College English Language Assessment (OCELA) of level 4
  • 70% in each of  EAPD 040, EAPW 040 and EAPR 040 for admission to a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree
  • 60% in each of EAPD 040, EAPW 040 and EAPR 040 for admission to Arts, Science, Business Administration Diploma, Commercial Aviation, Advanced Culinary Arts, Computer Information Systems, and Engineering Technology programs
  • 70% in English 12 or equivalent for Business programs
  • 60% in English 12 or equivalent for Arts, Science, Engineering Technology, and most diploma programs
  • 50% in an English literature or composition course at a recognized university or college in Canada
  • Level 5 on the Language Proficiency Index for Business, or Level 4 for Arts, Science, technology and most diploma programs
  • A degree or diploma from an accredited institution where English is the language of instruction
