Application Deadline Advice

Applications for programs that start the following Fall are accepted from mid-September to March 31. Applications for the Winter entry should be received by October 31. Early application is recommended to ensure priority admissions processing and review.

Academic

1. One of:

  • high school graduation with English 12 or English 12 First Peoples
  • ABE/Academic Upgrading Advanced Certificate
  • General Educational Development (GED) Certificat
  • Grade 11 completion (with an outstanding academic record in the year of application)

Admission Advice

1. You will need to meet prerequisites of specific courses.

2. If you have received less than a "B" grade in English 12 (or equivalent), you are strongly encouraged to select ENGL 103 as your first university transfer English course.

English Language Requirements

Summary

Completion of English 12 or English 12 First Peoples (or equivalent) 

If your first language is not English, one of the following is required (minimum score):                 

  • A TOEFL score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT)
  • An IELTS score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5
  • Completion of Level 4 English for Academic Purposes at CNC

The following qualifications are normally accepted where Grade 12 or equivalent is needed as a requirement for admission:

  • completion of a BC Adult Graduation Diploma; or
  • completion of the General Education Development (GED) tests; or
  • completion of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) Advanced Certificate
