1. One of:

  • Grade 10
  • Mature student status
2. Math:

One of:
  • Math 10
  • MATH 030
  • Student Readiness Assessment (16/36)


3. English

One of:

  • English 10 (C)
  • ENGL 030 (C)
  • Canadian Adult Achievement Test (Reading Comprehension 35/50, Spelling 23/32)
  • Student Readiness Assessment (Reading 23/40, Vocabulary 15/30, Spelling 22/30)
  • Language Placement Index (overall 20/40, Essay Level 4 with minimum essay score of 24/40)
  • Accuplacer (Grade 10 Level)

Non-Academic

  • Criminal Record Search

Admission Advice

1. Before the clinical component of the program you must also have completed:

  • Criminal Record check
  • Standard First Aid
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
  • possess a CPR Level C certificate
  • current immunizations including hepatitis B vaccination and TB screening

2. If English is your second language, you need to have one of the following:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL), internet-based (IBT) only = 76 overall; and 20 in speaking/listening, and 18 in reading/writing
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) = 6.0 overall, 6.0 in speaking/listening, and 5.5 in reading/writing
  • Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test (CLB PT), written within last 6 months = 7 listening, 7 speaking, 6 reading, and 6 writing
  • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPOP) Academic or General = 4L or better overall, 4L in speaking/listening, and 3H in reading/writing
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) = 60 overall, no section less than 50

English Language Requirements

Summary

Completion of English 12 or English 12 First Peoples (or equivalent) 

If your first language is not English, one of the following is required (minimum score):                 

  • A TOEFL score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT)
  • An IELTS score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5
  • Completion of Level 4 English for Academic Purposes at CNC

General Admission Requirements (All Students)

  • completion of a BC Adult Graduation Diploma; or
  • completion of the General Education Development (GED) tests; or
  • completion of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) Advanced Certificate
