Academic

Admission Advice

1. English proficiency is required for all students entering CMTN programs.  Please visit the English Language Alternatives page to see how this requirement can be met using the equivalent of English Studies 12 (click on domestic or international language requirements). 

2. Aside from program entry/admission requirements, there are also specific course registration requirements (called course prerequisites) which are listed in the course descriptions within the program outline. Prerequisite = Course that must be successfully completed prior to registering in a given course. Biology 11, Chemistry 11, and/or a Math 11 may be required as course prerequisites if you plan to transfer to a laddering program after completing the diploma.

3. If you are missing any courses needed for program entry and/or course registration, you have the option of taking upgrading courses at Coast Mountain College to get started. Contact a CMTN Educational Advisor for helping accessing and navigating information.

CMTN admits applicants with any level of education. However, you will also have to meet any admission requirements of your intended program. For instance many CMTN programs have entrance requirements that include proof of secondary school graduation and/ or completion of secondary school courses.
