2. Meet the prerequisites for individual courses (includes a Math 11)

Non-Academic

  • resume and a written statement outlining career goals and reasons for seeking entry to the program
  • two letters of reference from an employer, volunteer supervisor, teacher or human service professional, attesting to your personal suitability for work in human services
  • documentation of at least 45 hours of satisfactory work or volunteer experience in a human service agency related to the training program (within the last three years; see program website for list of agencies
  • Criminal Record Check

Admission Advice

1. Grade 12 high school graduation is recommended. 

2. Admission to this program is on a course-by-course basis.  Applicants to this program must meet the prerequisites for the individual courses in which they wish to enroll. Prerequisite = Course that must be successfully completed prior to registering in a given course.See Program Outline for course prerequisite information. 

3. If you are missing any courses needed for program entry and/or course registration, you have the option of taking upgrading courses at Coast Mountain College to get started. Contact a CMTN Educational Advisor for helping accessing and navigating information.
