  • both ENGL 092 (C) and ENGL 096 (C)
  • both ENGL 103 (C) and ENGL 104 (C)
  • ENGL 142 (C)
  • both ELD 092 (C) and ELD 094 (C)
  • both ELD 103 (C) and ELD 104 (C)
  • ELD 097 (C)
  • IELTS (6.5 in all areas) 

2. Math

  • Biology 12 (C+)
  • BIOL 103 (C+)

4. Chemistry

One of:

  • Chemistry 11 (C)

Note:

  • Admission is based on the cumulative grade point average (GPA) for the above four courses. To be considered for entry you need at least a "B" overall average.
  • If you studied outside of BC in Canada, please check Canadian High School Equivalency

Non-Academic

  • attend a program orientation
  • submit a portfolio (includes a statement on preparation and motivation for your chosen career; and two letters of reference which address ethical and professional capabilities)
  • complete a lifestyle questionnaire and health-related fitness assessment that identifies your current level of fitness
  • a "clear" Criminal Record Check. Camosun will send you information on how to complete your Criminal Record Check after you've been accepted to your program. 
  • During the course of the program, you will be required to:
    • obtain CPR (Health Care Provider) and Standard First Aid
    • obtain a First Responder Certificate (after completing year-two Emergency Condition courses)
    • Purchase a Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy Placement Medical Kit
    • Apply to the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association
Admission Advice 


1. If you have back, neck, arm injury or serious skin disorders (eg-psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis) or latex allergy, please consider these factors before applying.

English Language Requirements

Students may meet the English proficiency requirement with one or more of the following alternatives.

International students should contact Camosun International to learn about your options towards direct entry into our programs.

  • LPI score of 5 or higher
  • IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with:
    • minimum of 6.5 in Reading and Writing
    • minimum of 6.0 in Listening and Speaking
  • TOEFL scores:
    • iBT 88-90 (min 20 in each section)
    • CB 230 (min 4.5 TWE)
    • PB 570 (min 4.5 TWE)
  • Camosun English assessment

 

General Admission Requirements (All Students)

English Language Requirement: You must have proficiency in English at a level suitable for your desired program.

BC Secondary School (or equivalent)

Current BC/Yukon high school student can apply for provisional admission between September 15 and May 15, please check here for special high school admission process

BC Transfer Student

If you possess Grade 12 graduation from any recognized institution you are eligible for general admission to Camosun. You must also meet specific admission requirements for your intended program. (These admission requirements are detailed in the program listings for Camosun in Education Planner.)
