English Language Requirements

Students may meet the English proficiency requirement with one or more of the following alternatives.

International students should contact Camosun International to learn about your options towards direct entry into our programs.

  • LPI score of 5 or higher
  • IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with:
    • minimum of 6.5 in Reading and Writing
    • minimum of 6.0 in Listening and Speaking
  • TOEFL scores:
    • iBT 88-90 (min 20 in each section)
    • CB 230 (min 4.5 TWE)
    • PB 570 (min 4.5 TWE)
  • Camosun English assessment

 

General Admission Requirements (All Students)

English Language Requirement: You must have proficiency in English at a level suitable for your desired program.

BC Secondary School (or equivalent)

Current BC/Yukon high school student can apply for provisional admission between September 15 and May 15, please check here for special high school admission process

If you are a secondary school graduate you are eligible for general admission to Camosun. You must also meet the specific admission requirements of your intended program. (These admission requirements are detailed within the program listings for Camosun within Education Planner.)

BC Transfer Student

Block Transfer within Camosun

After the first year students can transfer into Camosun's Business Administration Diploma. Contact an academic advisor or program personnel for more details.

Inter-Institutional Block Arrangements

Introductory Note: 30 credits is equivalent to one academic year of study.

Graduates have the following transfer opportunities:

  • up to 30 credits within the Bachelor of Arts Degree at TRU-OL
  • up to 60 credits within the Bachelor of General Studies Degree at TRU-OL
  • up to 60 credits within the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at TRU-OL
  • up to 60 credits within the Bachelor of Commerce Degree - UNBC
  • up to 60 credits within the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management Degree - Royal Roads

Final Notes: Minimum grade point average and other requirements may apply. All transfer requirements should be confirmed with advising personnel at the intended institution.

Block Transfer out of province

Graduates may advance to the University of Lethbridge's Bachelor of Management Degree through its Diploma Admissions Route. This will enable them to complete the degree with two more years of study.

Graduates may also receive up to 60 credits towards the three-year Bachelor of Management Degree (No Majors) or four-year Bachelor of Management Degree with Majors in Human Resource Management or Marketing at Athabasca University.
